Art in Bridge Awards Scheme
Art in Bridge invites bids for funding from individuals or groups, to support the creative process in the production of visual art, that can be exhibited in Bridge. The aims and objectives of Art in Bridge as stated in its Constitution are: “to promote the visual arts and culture in Bridge and District”. This was always intended to encourage individuals to make and exhibit their art – be it individually or as groups, receiving tuition or involved in public art projects. Criteria for the Award: 1. The proposal must result in the creation of new visual art work or support the creative process in the production of visual art. 2. The resulting work should be exhibited in the village of Bridge. 3. The artist (or when a group project, the majority of the artists involved) should reside in Bridge or an adjoining rural parish. 4. A written submission, giving relevant details of the work and justification for the Award, must be made. Information on the Submission: 1. The ‘creation of new art work’ does not necessarily mean a completed object. 2. Funds available are limited and will not, normally, exceed £100 per individual or £200 per group. 3. Funding can cover travel, materials, tuition, etc.. 4. Receipts will normally be required before any payments are made. 5. Submissions should be made by 1st April or 1st September and will be assessed shortly after those dates. 6. Please include names and contact details, together with full information on the proposal, including any pictures etc. and any other sources of funding. 7. Please use e-mail info@artinbridge.org.uk wherever possible, else write to Art in Bridge, c/o High Beech, Patrixbourne Road, Bridge, CT4 5BL
